On the 13th February 2012 Mr. Paul Stewart owner of Chirton Engineering Ltd gathered all his staff together to inform them of the exceptional year Chirton had just achieved with all monthly targets that had been set being surpassed month on month resulting in December being our best month on record and our order book topping £1 million pounds, the fact that you are only as good as your work force and to show his appreciation, he announced that everyone would receive a bonus of 2 weeks wages to be paid immediately, this was greatly appreciated by all the staff and showed that as the company grows everyone will benefit for their hard work.
On the 9th February 2012 Chirton Engineering were the winner of the North Tyneside Apprentice Employer of the year Award Under 50 Employees.
We were presented with a 3Star trophy made by Apprentices and a £300.00 prize.
The award was well received by everyone at Chirton and we have added to the prize to enable all our apprentices to be able to spend £100.00 each on tools.
Chirton Engineering is working with Joanne Lyons of North Tyneside Council, Education Enterprise and Economy Department
The purpose being to go into schools and Colleges to engage with students and highlight the various aspects of Engineering and how diverse it can be.
Chirton were one of 3 finalists in the Manufacturing Section of the North Tyneside Business of the Year Award and I am pleased to say that Chirton Engineering Ltd were triumphant as being the Manufacturing Award Winner.
